5×7 acrylic painting of one single poppy flower and blue sky background. Acrylic paint and acrylic medium are used to achieve thick paint texture and movement throughout the poppy flower and sky. Thin white border on acrylic paper creates a ready to frame piece of art.
Soul Man is part of The Poppy Collection by artist Katie Fingland. Each piece of art from this collection is inspired by the loss of the artists’ father, Poppe, and the poppy flowers she grew in remembrance of him. The title of each artwork in this poppy flower painting and art collection is a nod to a song title or quote from a Motown song—Poppe’s favorite music—and how his spirit and memory live on for the artist.
